    Do you have the following skills? - be a current student OR 2021 / 2022 graduate (undergraduate level, graduate level) enrolled at LaunchPad network university. - be a lead founder / co-founder of the venture. - have an existing venture past the idea stage (venture may be for-profit, not-for-profit, Public Benefit Corporation or B-corporation). - be self-motivated and driven to complete work independently and with minimal oversight. If so this may be for you!

  • SPRING 2022 UTMB HEALTH TECHNOLOGY COMMERCIALIZATION PROGRAM

The Technology Commercialization Program (TCP), through a partnership between the Chief Research Office and the Office of Technology Transfer, provides seed funds to support the commercialization of discoveries created at UTMB Health.

    The Bridge Venture Fellowship is a 3-week paid learning opportunity for historically excluded* students to learn about venture capital and network with peers and industry professionals. The virtual bootcamp is open to 20 students across the UT System schools and culminates in an in-person recruitment mixer in Austin with Texas-based firms.

  • Winners Announced - Blackstone LaunchPad Ideas Competition

    The Blackstone LaunchPad Ideas Competition was a virtual business plan competition powered by Startup Tree. Designed specifically for students with no prior with experience with entrepreneurship, the Ideas Competition was created so that any student — no matter their major or career plans — could practice the important skills of distilling and presenting a latent idea. All undergraduate and graduate students with an idea, no matter how small, or a prototype, no matter how rough, were invited to apply.

  • UTMB HEALTH TECHNOLOGY COMMERCIALIZATION PROGRAM

    One of the goals of UTMB Health is to support and promote technology transfer and commercialization of research discoveries. The Technology Commercialization Program (TCP) provides seed funds to support the commercialization of discoveries created at UTMB Health. The funds for this program are made available from the UTMB Health President’s Royalty Fund. Through a partnership between the Chief Research Office and The Office of Technology Transfer, this program is usually offered twice a year, in the fall and spring. The distribution of funds will be handled by the Office of Sponsored Programs.
