Texas Medical Board-Approved Education: Life of the Mother Act (SB 31)
New Texas Medical Board (TMB) Requirement: Senate Bill 31 (also known as “The Life of the Mother Act”) requires physician applicants and licensees who provide obstetric care to complete a one-time, TMB approved, mandatory continuing education (CE) course on pregnancy-related medical emergencies.
The Texas Campaign for Mothers is bringing Dr. Charles E. L. Brown, MD, MBA to UTMB to deliver the Texas Medical Board–approved physician education requirements under the Life of the Mother Act (SB 31). This interactive, case-based session will focus on the practical application of SB 31 in clinical care.
