Students For Old Red (SFOR) was originally established as a passion project by two of UTMB's former medical students, Rachel Duncan, MD and Jacob Herstein, MD in support of Dr. Paula Summerly’s efforts to establish a medical museum to display UTMB’s impressive heritage collections. Members of SFOR now have the opportunity to help with any and all of the following tasks: 

      leading tours of the Old Red building

      conserving historical collections

      establishing support for students on campus interested in learning about the human body

      advocating on behalf of the Old Red Museum project as well as efforts to preserve Old Red’s legacy
