Dear Members of the UTMB Community,
This year, I have the honor of serving as the chair of UTMB’s 2018 State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC). Your past generosity is an inspiration to me. It makes me proud of our organization, and very hopeful for this year.
Today, we officially launch our 2018 effort. We’ve adopted a superhero theme that should be fun and serves to acknowledge the everyday heroes among us.
Our goal is $500,000. From this site, you can learn more, review the hundreds of available charities, and make your pledge.
To get our campaign started with a “Ka-POW!,” a superhero dress-up day is planned for Halloween, on Weds., Oct. 31 – start searching your lair for the perfect (work appropriate) costume.
The campaign allows us to decide which groups and causes we support, from among hundreds of local, national and international charities. Every pledge counts. Contributions may be made easily online or via a paper form, and allow you to take advantage of payroll deduction.
Every year, the funds we raise contribute significantly to needs in the communities where we live and serve—they support those in need; provide healthy meals, warm beds, a doctor’s visit, school supplies and educational support; they advance environmental and social causes; and do much more. SECC makes an important difference in the lives of people around us, and in the health and vibrancy of our communities.
Thank you in advance for your consideration and support.
Let’s kick off this effort with a mighty “Up, up and away!”
