Drs. Uma Phatak and her coauthors highlighted the low rate of adherence to evidence-based guidelines for the treatment of locally advanced rectal cancer among the elderly.

The Division of Surgical Sciences has recently made notable contributions through conference presentations and publications.

Research by Dr. Camilo Mosquera, Dr. Hisham Marwan, Dr. Marc Toma, and Dr. Matthew Takeuchi, titled “Is CT-Detected Osteosclerosis a Reliable Predictor of Surgical Margins in Medication-Related Osteonecrosis of the Jaw?”, has been published in the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Stephen Williams, Urology Division Chief, recently co-authored the article, “From Bedside to the C-Suite: A National Survey on the Evolving Role of Physician Leaders in U.S. Hospitals,” published in The New England Journal of Medicine.
