The American Burn Association (ABA) Annual Meeting, held in Orlando from April 14 - 17, 2026, brought together leading experts in burn care and research from across the country. The UTMB Burn Research Program, under the leadership of Steven Wolf, demonstrated a strong commitment to advancing science and education, contributing more than 10 poster presentations along with four podium presentations.

The team’s efforts were recognized with several honors, including a Resident Paper Award to Julia Kelinhapl (mentored by Dr. Juquan Song), as well as two Poster Section Awards presented to Monica Huston (mentored by Dr. Michael Erickerson) and Philong Nguyen (mentored by Dr. Jong Lee).

These achievements reflect the program’s collaborative spirit and continued excellence, showcasing the impact of both trainees and faculty in driving innovation within burn research.
