Dr. Caitlin Raymond, a resident physician at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, is one of the American Society for Clinical Pathology’s “40 Under Forty” professionals for 2023.
The society chose high-achieving pathologists, pathology residents and medical laboratory professionals younger than age 40 for its list. Applicants submitted a resume and a personal statement on how they see themselves as an innovator in health care or how they are contributing to leading innovations within the profession.
"I am overwhelmed to receive such prestigious recognition, and grateful for all the mentorship and support I've gotten at UTMB that allowed me to reach this point," Raymond said.
“By providing support and encouragement to these young professionals, we aim to strengthen the medical laboratory workforce during this period of historic change in healthcare delivery,” said Dr. Marsha Kinney, society president. “We are very fortunate to have such a talented group of individuals – they will help to shape the future of patient care.”
