Neurosurgery

Neurosurgeons are trained in brain and nervous system surgery, including those which affect any portion of the nervous system including the spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and extra-cranial cerebrovascular system.

Neurosurgeons work with an integrated team of doctors trained in brain and nervous system conditions (neurologists), tumors of the brain and nervous system (neuro-oncologists), brain and nervous system imaging (neuroradiologists), musculoskeletal conditions (orthopedic surgeons), ear, nose and throat conditions (ear, nose and throat specialists), endocrine gland conditions (endocrinologists), physical medicine and rehabilitation, pain medicine, and other areas to provide the most appropriate treatment for your condition.

Members of the Neurosurgery care team at UTMB Health are committed to excellence in the care of the neurosurgical patients in an optimal and safe environment characterized by the highest ethical standards. We offer a full range of services to our patients in an attempt to meet their healthcare needs.
