Center Subgroups

Western Gulf Center of Excellence for Vector-Borne Diseases

The Steering Committee has divided the Western Gulf Center of Excellence for Vector-Borne Diseases (WGCVBD) into four subgroups in order to facilitate communication and interaction among projects and goals. Membership in each group is as inclusive as possible across the municipal and state public health and academic institutions.

The groups organize face-to-face and virtual meetings several times a year to discuss the topics under their purview and group leaders reach out to all Center members with potential interests in their activities. WGCVBD leadership recognizes that the value of the Center depends on maximizing interactions among institutions, so member participation in one or more groups is considered a critical priority.
