Revenue Cycle Operations:
UTMB Health Revenue Cycle Operations is comprised of several units working together to ensure timely and appropriate reimbursement. Historically known as separate entities, Physicians’ Billing Services, Hospital Patient Financial Services and Admitting have integrated into one “revenue cycle” department. Together these areas leverage processes, technologies, relationships, and business structures to heighten the financial performance of UTMB Health. In today’s climate of declining reimbursement, our ultimate goal is to maximize revenue. Through our new enhanced EPIC billing system we are gaining efficiencies in our collection and billing processes while maintaining compassionate customer service to our patients.
