Fluid Optimization Group (FOG)

Who We Are

On October 15, 2011 a group of anesthesiologists, intensivists, and researchers met in Chicago to discuss best approaches to perioperative fluid management. After lively discussion, it was agreed to develop a consensus perspective on key points of fluid therapy based on both the evidenced-base literature and our clinical expertice.

The result was the Tenets of Fluid Therapy with recommendations for establishing guidelines of perioperative fluid therapy. A more comprehensive guideline is under construction.

Comments, inputs, discussion to the Tenets are welcome.
