Jim Victor is a seasoned leader with over twenty years of experience managing design and construction for large and complex projects. During the last fourteen years he has focused on leading teams of architects and contractors delivering healthcare, research and education facilities. In his formal education, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1973 and a Master of Engineering Administration degree from George Washington University in 1987.
Coming to UTMB in 2012, Jim brings extensive University of Texas project management experience with him. He was a Senior Project Manager for the U.T. System Office of Facilities Planning and Construction (OFPC) from 1998-2002 in Houston, where he supported the capital delivery program of the M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. From 2003 to 2006, he served as Director for Project Management at the U.T. Health Science Center at Houston, where among other efforts, he led efforts for Tropical Storm Allison Recovery. His most recent experience was in the private sector where as a Program Director, he led project teams on behalf of the Methodist Hospital in delivering the Methodist Willowbrook Hospital Expansion, and the Methodist West Houston Hospital Programs from 2006-2011.
