Ramy Abdelmaseih, MD

Dr. Ramy Abdelmaseih is an interventional cardiologist at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB). He graduated from Cairo University School of Medicine and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Central Florida, where he served as Chief Resident. He then completed his Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology fellowships at UTMB, serving as Chief Fellow during his training.

His clinical interests include coronary artery disease, complex coronary interventions, intracoronary imaging, mechanical circulatory support, pulmonary thrombectomy, and endovascular procedures. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography, and Nuclear Cardiology, and is also a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI).

Dr. Abdelmaseih has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented his research at national scientific meetings. His academic interests include complex coronary intervention, mechanical circulatory support, cardiovascular therapeutics, and improving outcomes for patients with cardiovascular disease.
He is passionate about caring for patients with complex cardiovascular disease, teaching the next generation of physicians, and advancing the field of interventional cardiology through clinical practice, research, and education.
