About Me

Dr. Alwash specializes in cardiology and practices in the Clinical Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory.

Dr. Alwash earned his MD degree from Baghdad University College of Medicine, Baghdad, Iraq (2009). He completed his residency in internal Medicine at Wayne State University-School of Medicine, Rochester, MI (2018), an advanced Heart Failure and Heart Transplant fellowship at UTMB (2019) and a fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine at UTMB Hospital (2023). Then he completed a fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at UTMB (2024).
