About Me

Dr. Shareef Mansour is an Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist, as well as Pulmonary Hypertension specialist. He is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at UTMB.

He completed his cardiology training at the American University of Beirut, then pursued his sub fellowship in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant at the University of Iowa Healthcare, specializing in end stage cardiomyopathy, cardiac assist devices, mechanical circulatory support and pulmonary hypertension.

He then joined Mayo Clinic Rochester for an Advanced Cardiology fellowship, specializing in Infiltrative cardiomyopathy as Cardiac Amyloidosis and Cardiac Sarcoidosis.

Prior to joining UTMB, Dr. Mansour was a member of the Heart Failure and Transplant team at the University of Iowa for more than 3 years.

His Clinical interest includes Cardiogenic shock, mechanical circulatory support, pulmonary hypertension, and Cardiac Amyloidosis.
