Advancing heart health, together.

The Galveston Heart Study

A UTMB study examining how heart health, the environment, and overall health are connected at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB)

Are you interested in learning more about your heart health?

Heart health affects far more than the cardiovascular system alone, it influences how we feel, function, and age over time. Many adults live with risk factors for heart disease without realizing how these factors interact with lifestyle, environment, and overall health.

The Galveston Heart Study is a community-based research study at UTMB designed to better understand cardiovascular health and its connection to whole-body health across adulthood.

Purpose of the Study

The main goal of the Galveston Heart Study is to examine how cardiovascular health, lifestyle, and environmental factors relate to overall health and well-being. Information gathered through this study will help researchers improve prevention strategies and advance heart health research for future generations.
