About Jacqueline Meyer
Dr. Jacqueline Meyer is a nursing program manager specializing in evidence-based practice at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) Health System. She also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the UTMB School of Nursing and holds the position of Vice Chair of the Institutional Review Board.
Dr. Meyer earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology and Kinesiology from the University of Houston in 2009, followed by a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in 2011 and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing in 2015, both from UTMB. She furthered her education with a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in 2017 and is currently pursuing her Family Nurse Practitioner degree at the University of Texas at Arlington, with an expected graduation in 2025.
Recently, Dr. Meyer completed her term on the Board of Commissioners for the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation. She also served as the South Region Representative for the Texas Nurses Association (TNA) District 9. Currently Dr. Meyer serves as the treasurer for Sigma Theta Tau International Alpha Delta Chapter and treasurer for the Association for Women in Science. Dr. Meyer holds nationally recognized certifications in evidence-based practice, nursing education, nursing professional development, and emotional intelligence, and she is a certified TeamSTEPPS Master Trainer. She actively mentors UTMB interprofessional education (IPE) scholars and serves as a faculty mentor for the Sigma Theta Tau Maternal-Child Health Nurse Leadership Academy (MCHNLA).
Dr. Meyer is involved in numerous nursing societies and professional organizations, including the American Organization for Nursing Leadership, the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetrics and Neonatal Nurses, the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, the Graduate Nursing Student Academy, the Southern Nursing Research Society, the Council for the Advancement of Nursing Science, Sigma Theta Tau International (Alpha Delta Chapter), the University of Houston Alumni Association, and the UTMB School of Nursing Alumni Association, where she served as president from 2022 to 2024.
In addition to her professional commitments, Dr. Meyer serves her community on the executive committee for the Santa Fe Texas Education Foundation and is the Vice President of the PTA for the Santa Fe Texas Junior High School.
Dr. Meyer is a devoted wife to her husband, Jason, and her greatest joy and source of pride is being a mother to her three children: Julie, Jackson, and Jillian.
