School of Nursing Alumni

Established in 1890, the UTMB School of Nursing is a school of many firsts: the first nursing school west of the Mississippi River, the first nursing school to become affiliated with a university, the first to establish an MSN degree in Texas, and the first in the state to offer online graduate education in nursing.

The UTMB School of Nursing Alumni Association exists to strengthen and support the School of Nursing by promoting life-long relationships between alumni, current students, faculty, university leadership, and friends of UTMB.

Support the School of Nursing

Gifts to the School of Nursing Annual Fund are used to meet the needs and emerging priorities of the school as determined by the Dean in conjunctions with leadership and faculty.

Supporting the School of Nursing Scholarship Fund empowers students by helping them meet their financial needs.

Each year, the UTMB School of Nursing Alumni Association presents several awards to graduates who have made outstanding contributions in the field of nursing.
