The UTMB Professionalism Committee hosted an open discussion regarding RESPECT in the workplace for all staff on Feb. 24. The event was facilitated by committee members Barbara Bonificio, director of nursing excellence, nursing administration; and Dr. Meredith Masel, program manager, The Oliver Center for Patient Safety and Quality Healthcare.
Topics discussed included UTMB's Professionalism Charter, which is a living document that defines the elements of professionalism for all UTMB faculty, staff and students, as well as effective communication strategies and reporting unprofessional behavior.
