This year’s UTMB Homecoming festivities were held at The San Luis Resort on March 27-28. The Class of 1965 was honored and the classes of 1970, ’75,’80, ’85, ’90, ’95, 2000 and 2005 celebrated their respective anniversaries over the weekend, as well. The graduates were largely from the School of Medicine and the School of Nursing.

During the School of Nursing Awards Presentation and Tea, David Marshall was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Award. Bronia Michejenko, Deborah Murphy and Briana Sowell were inducted into the School of Nursing Hall of Fame. Edwin H. Smith Jr. and Sheyanne Chan were named the Betty Lee Evans Award recipients for 2015.

For the School of Health Professions, Physician Assistant Mario M. Celis was named the school’s Distinguished Alumnus for 2015.

Other highlights from this year's event included Dr. David L. Callender's President’s Luncheon honoring the classes of 1965 and the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences Dean’s Lecture presented by Dr. Michael Laposata.
