The Angleton Danbury Campus team headed out to the INEOS Chocolate Bayou Plant to participate in their annual Spring Health Fair on April 2. There was a steady flow of activity as the ADC team screened INEOS employees for blood glucose and blood pressure levels. Cardiopulmonary team members also provided sleep study screenings. UTMB Cardiologist Dr. Qiangjun Cai visited with the employees after they completed carotid artery ultrasound screenings. The ADC Team had approximately 500 contacts throughout the event.

ADC also attended the Brazoria County WIC 4th Annual Family Fitness and Nutrition Fair. Brazoria County reported more than 170 community members in attendance. The Wellness Team provided a variety of information to the attendees including nutrition, exercise, and the effects of tobacco and alcohol on your health. Project Pink Warrior, our grant funded breast health initiative, was also available.

Other news: The new signage is slowly but surely going up on the Angleton campus. Entrance signs as well as new signage on the Surgery Center and the Frank W. Stevens Center for Health and Wellness are in place and we are anxiously awaiting the signage for the main hospital and our new marquee.
