OLLI at UTMB
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute — OLLI at The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health)— began in 2002 to provide a welcoming learning environment for those 50 and older who are interested learning for the joy of learning. With
a grant from the Bernard Osher Foundation, OLLI at UTMB joined a nationwide network of lifelong learning institutes across the country, all devoted to best practices in lifelong learning.
Osher Lifelong Learning Institutes are found on the campuses of 122 colleges and universities from Maine to Hawaii and Alaska. Each provides a distinctive array of non-credit courses and activities specifically developed for its distinct audience. Each
is an independently operated lifelong learning initiative of its host-college or university and is supported in part by the Bernard Osher Foundation.
The curriculum at OLLI at UTMB is designed by our members and reflects our broad interests, capitalizes on our unique regional and environmental resources, and utilizes local experts as faculty to enrich the lives of our entire community.
