Susan Chubinskaya, PhD, MS

Welcome to the Office of the Provost at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB)!

It is an exciting and transformative time at UTMB, as our institution’s rich history has paved the way for unprecedented innovation, growth, and excellence across all our mission areas. I am honored to serve the UTMB community as the Senior Vice President and Provost ad interim in the Academic Enterprise.

It is our mission to prepare exceptional future leaders in the fields of medicine, nursing, biomedical sciences, allied health professions, and public health. With wide-ranging expertise across schools and a strong focus on interdisciplinary collaboration, we proudly train professionals with the knowledge, fortitude, and vision to expertly navigate modern health care challenges.

The engagement and satisfaction of our academic community members are critical to our continued growth and success. I am very proud of the hard-working individuals within the Academic Enterprise who make this success possible every day. We are deeply committed to upholding a campus environment that is supportive, nurturing, and inspiring for all learners, faculty, and staff.
