Ashley Torres

Communications Specialist

Ashley Torres became a part of the UTMB Provost Office team in May 2021, taking on the role of Communications Specialist. Her primary focus involves collaborating with the Academic Enterprise, Office of Marketing and Communications, Faculty Group Practice leaders, and faculty members to provide marketing support for a wide range of programs and initiatives. Her responsibilities encompass crafting internal announcements, generating website content, and creating various marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, provider profiles, videos, and graphics.

Before UTMB, Ashley served as the Marketing Director at Good Vibes Coastal Kitchen restaurant in Pearland, TX. In this role, she excelled in developing promotional content for social media, designing seasonal merchandise, overseeing online reviews, and assisting with front-of-house management during dinner service. With a decade of experience in the service industry, Ashley has held diverse positions such as director of first impressions, special event coordinator, and general manager.

Ashley holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and is a proud Galveston native. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her son, running, practicing yoga, and reading.
