Blanca Major established her career with the State of Texas in 1995 as a Case Manager. She joined UTMB in 2014 as a Correctional Clinical Associate for the Carole Young Medical Facility-TDCJ in Dickinson, TX. She then proceeded
to transfer to UTMB-Galveston and started with AESC-Procurement in May 2022.
Originally from Puerto Rico, Blanca received an associate degree from San Jacinto College in social sciences. In 1992, she attended the University of Houston-Clear Lake with a major in sociology. With duties as a single mother, she placed her degree on hold at the time, but is now looking forward to resuming her studies and completing her degree. She joined the Provost’s Office in 2022 as an Administrative Specialist on the AE Service Center Procurement Team.
Blanca currently lives in Clear Lake with her son and her youngest daughter, who is soon to attend college in West Virginia. She is looking forward to continuing to grow professionally in this department.
