Kristin Harris

Kristin Harris began her career at UTMB in February 2000. Before joining the Provost’s Office in January 2019 in the Office of Faculty Relations, Kristin worked in multiple departments across UTMB, including Physician Billing Services, UHC Clinics Administration and the Office of Community Outreach, participating in many community programs, health fairs, campus tours and outreach initiatives. In 2008, she joined the Department of Surgery, later working for the Administrative Service Groups, where she participated in the implementation of POWER at the department level. 

As a Faculty Recruitment Specialist, one of Kristin’s first major projects was participating in onboarding of contract providers for the successful opening of the UTMB Clear Lake Campus Hospital. In addition to recruitment and onboarding process for faculty, non-teaching and GME residents, she also assists in the annual review of Postdoctoral Fellow laddering. Throughout her years of support staff and customer service experience she discovered she enjoys creating instructional guides and training new hires. She is always eager to learn new things so she can share her knowledge with others. 

Kristin was born and raised in Texas City. She loves spending time with her husband, daughter and son at their home in Dickinson, taking trips in their travel trailer, crafting with her children, working on her many (unfinished) sewing projects and attending church.
