Sadie Odem

Sadie Odem became part of the Provost’s Office team in December 2024, serving as an Administrative Coordinator. In this role, she provides support to the Global Health Coordinating Center by assisting in the operational, financial, and administrative functions that support UTMB’s global health programs. Sadie is excited to be part of further development in global health initiatives through strategic planning efforts ensuring institutional compliance of global health research, education, and training activities across UTMB. 

Before joining the Provost’s Office in 2024, Sadie worked for seven years in the Division of Gastroenterology as a Business Coordinator and assistant to the Division Chief and three years in the School of Public and Population Health, where she provided administrative support for the Department of Epidemiology and the Department of Global Health. 

Sadie holds a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Administration from Sam Houston State University. She is now re-enrolled at SHSU, furthering her education and working toward her Master of Business Administration. 

When she is not supporting UTMB’s global health initiatives, Sadie enjoys spending her time traveling with her husband and children, coming up with new creations in the kitchen, and bowling in tournaments all over the country.
