Victor Moreno III is the Associate Vice President for Workforce Operations for the Academic Enterprise. He was appointed to his position in the Provost’s Office in 2016.

He leads the implementation and facilitation of the strategy for the Academic Enterprise’s executive recruitment and onboarding of all faculty members (MD, DOs, PhDs, APPs, and non-teaching personnel). He also serves as primary liaison for all Human Resource-related Academic Enterprise matters in coordination with UTMB’s Institutional Human Resources Department. He oversees other key functions in the Provost’s Office including AE Endowment Compliance; Faculty Relations; AE Performance Services; Provider Enrollment; and the POWER team.

Victor joined UTMB’s Provost’s Office in 2013 as the Manager for Community Relations and Process Improvement where his focus was on LEAN strategies. Before joining UTMB, he was the Product Manager for a steel corporation in North Carolina, responsible for promoting and selling products for the region. He also worked with the company’s nuclear sales team to develop the business, enhance the network, and make purchasing decisions around applications and relevant standards.

Victor is a Galveston “BOI” (born on the island), a Ball High Graduate and an avid cyclist. In his down time, he enjoys spending time with his family and Goldendoodle, Alison (“Ali”).
