11th Annual Meeting 2019
The Rehabilitation Research Career Development (RRCD) program's 11th Annual meeting was held May 20-21, 2019, hosted by the University of Florida at the UF Hilton. The purpose of the annual meeting is to seek feedback from the advisory board regarding our program’s activities and progress, and engage scholars in interactive discussion on topics important to their research and career advancement.
Activities included a program update by the director, co-deputy directors, and associate directors. Nine scholars (six Phase 1 and three phase 2) presented their research and accomplishments, and participated in a poster session. New this year was a panel discussion led by lead mentors and advisory board members that focused on expert tips for early career investigators. The panel and poster session allow scholars to interact with advisory board members and lead mentors to receive feedback on current projects/grants and future activities. The meeting also included updates from the National Center for Medical Rehabilitation Research (NCMRR), provided by Dr. Theresa Cruz (Program Officer).
