Sunset Concert at the Bay - Fundraiser Held for the Dementia Respite Care

Melissa Lockhart, PhD, APRN, GNP, colleagues and friends raised money for the Respite Care for Geriatric Patients at St. Vincent's House with a concert on October 24, 2020.

The Sunset Concert at the Bay a concert featured Shake Russell (2008 Texas Music Awards Entertainer of the Year and main stage performer at the Kerrville Folk Festival for 28 years). Shake Russell performed 2 sets and charmed the crowd with his Texas Stories. Attendees enjoyed a taco dinner and treats from an old fashioned ice cream truck. The outdoor concert raised money for the St. Vincent's House Dementia Respite Program which started as a pilot in 2019 with UTMB Geriatrics and has been funded for two years through a 2020 President's Cabinet Award led by Erin Hommel, MD, Melissa Lockhart, PhD, APRN, GNP, and Andrea Wirt, MSN, GNP.
