Clinical Competency Committee (CCC)
The Clinical Competency Committee (CCC) will meet at least semi‐annually, is appointed by the
Program Director, and must include at least three program faculty members, and may include chief
residents who have completed core residency programs
in their specialty. The duties of the Clinical
Competency Committee include:
- Reviewing all training evaluations of Resident/Fellow’s performance;
- Preparing the semiannual report of Resident/Fellow’s Milestones progress; and
- Making recommendations on Resident/Fellow’s progress including promotion, remediation
and dismissal.
If clinical performance concerns arise, the Program Director may call a special CCC meeting to
review performance and to develop a coaching or remediation plan with follow‐up.
