Morning report is held at 7:00 am Thursday-Monday, 8:00 am on Tuesday, and 9:00 am on Wednesday. Morning Report occurs in the Trauma Center conference area on the 3rd floor and virtually via MS Teams. At this time, the residents from the previous night's call will present to a member of all services all patients seen and evaluated through the Trauma Team activation system and all non-trauma emergency surgical consults as well as all inpatients that were seen or taken care of by the night call team. Continued care will then be assumed by the Trauma Service for all trauma patients and all non-trauma emergency consultations will be assumed by the appropriate service.
Evening report is conducted in the Trauma Center conference room around 5:30 pm. The daytime Trauma team, the Night float or night call team, and a member of all services with hand-off the patients that are 1) in the ER and 2) on the floor. Pertinent information will be handed off in written form by the service team members to the night team.
