Dr. Branski's Book Gets Published

Apr 17, 2024, 10:55 AM by John Carstens

Dr. Ludwik K. Branski co-edits a medical textbook titled, “Scars.” Also, he co-authored a section in the publication titled “Management of Hypertrophic Scars in Pediatric Burn Patients.”

Wound healing is like a complex ballet of physiological processes, where different cellular and humoral mechanisms need to coordinate perfectly. As we grow older, our bodies' physiological requirements and responses change, affecting how wounds heal. Consequently, it's not surprising that children and adults show noticeable differences in how their bodies handle the healing process.

Dr. Branski's research focuses on several areas within burn care, including burn metabolism, hypertrophic scarring, and burn reconstruction. Additionally, he explores the use of CO2 laser treatment for managing hypertrophic scarring, as well as investigating wound healing processes and strategies to combat burn wound infections.
