UTMB Surgeons and support staff attended the recent meeting of the Texas Surgical Society in Dallas, Texas. Several UTMB Department of Surgery faculty gave lectures, including:
- Dr. Douglas Tyler: "Changing Practice Patterns for Stage III Melanoma: the Evolving Role of Surgery in an Era of Effective Systemic Therapies"
- Dr. Steven Wolf: "Risk Factors for Opioid Use Disorder After Severe Burns in Adults"
- Dr. J. Patrick Walker: "Canal of Nuck Hydrocele Mimicking a Femoral Hernia in an Adult Female: the Utility of Point of Care Ultrasound"
The members look forward to continuing their conversations at the spring 2023 meeting of The Texas Surgical Society, which will be held in Tyler.
