Dr. Shokrzadeh Awarded Women’s Vascular Summit Research Grant

Christine Shokrzadeh, MD, was awarded 2023 Women’s Vascular Summit Research Grant for her research proposal. She received $5000 for the research grant and will present her progress to the 2024 Women’s Vascular Summit annual meeting. The research project is on family planning trends in vascular surgery trainees. 

Message from Dr. Shokrzadeh: 

“Surgical trainees who wish to start a family can face many challenges. This is the first study in the country to collect data directly from vascular surgery residents and fellows to understand issues surrounding childbearing and fertility issues during their training. I hope we can find meaningful solutions based on what we find.”
