Welcome to the Spring 2023 newsletter for the Department of Surgery at the University of Texas Medical Branch! As our team grows, we have several new faculty and staff who will be furthering our mission to provide optimal care and world-class education.
Welcome, new team members!
March 8th was International Women's Day. Our staff wore purple in support. International Women’s Day is an annual celebration to bring awareness of gender equality, violence/ abuse issues, and more. The month of March is also Colorectal Cancer Awereness month.
We will continue to share our successes and programs with the community. As always, if you are a current or alumnus member of UTMB Surgery, please contact our Office of Publications at any time. We want to learn about your work, collaborations, and community-focused initiatives. We might even feature you here in the future!
