Dr. Moon has authored more than 230 scientific publications and received NIH/NHLBI research funding for nearly two decades. Dr. Moon has given more than 240 invited lectures around the world.

Clifford Y. Ko, MD, MS, MSHS, FACS, FASCRS, presented at the UTMB Department of Surgery Grand Rounds on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. His presentation was titled “Where Are We Now with Achieving Surgical Quality?”

Dr. Paris D. Butler, MD, MPH, FACS joined the UTMB Department of Surgery on April 26th from 8-9 AM CT to share thoughts on quality and excellence in inclusive surgical environments.

The ATC brings together transplant physicians, scientists, nurses, organ procurement personnel, pharmacists, allied health professionals and other transplant professionals.

Dr. Linda Phillips' presentation aimed to encourage her colleagues to cultivate more collaboration in the field of plastic surgery. Dr. Phillips was inducted as AAPS President in 2021.

UTMB Urology members and supporters attended the recent meeting of the American Urological Association (AUA) in New Orleans, Louisiana, and several gave speaking events.

Several UTMB Surgeons and support staff attended the recent meeting of the Texas Surgical Society in Lubbock, Texas.

At the National Student Research Forum, Medical Student Charles "Chase" M. Bowen received the Oslerian Award for Translational Research for his poster presentation, titled "Cell-free amniotic fluid reduces liver inflammation and fibrosis."

The Curriculum Committee engages in both short- and long-term curricular planning, directs the implementation of curricular design, and monitors and evaluates curricular effectiveness.

Laith Alzweri, MD, was recently selected by his peers to be inducted into the Academy of Master Clinicians (AMC) at UTMB Health.
