What is the application deadline?

Doctoral Program: We do not have an application deadline. The Admissions Committee will begin review of applicants in October, and applicants with completed application packets will be reviewed first. On campus interviews and recruitment days begin in January. You can begin the application process starting September 1st and decisions are typically made around mid-April for Fall applicant pool.

Masters Program: We have rolling admissions.

What type of degrees does our program offer?

MS and PhD in Pharmacology and Toxicology


How does the Basic Biomedical Science Curriculum (BBSC) work?

The BBSC consists of required courses in biochemistry, cell biology and molecular biology/genetics as well as statistics, ethics and several lab rotations (in any area you choose, not just pharmacology). Electives are available in various areas, including Pharmacology and Toxicology. Salary support for first year students is provided by the BBSC. After the first year, salaries are arranged by the specific graduate program of interest.


How many students does the Pharmacology and Toxicology Graduate Program admit each year?

This varies, but we normally take in 3-5 PhD students each year through our generic first year curriculum the BBSC.


What type of financial aid do you offer?

A salary of $35,360 with paid tuition and fees is available to doctoral students who qualify.
