Message from the Chair
Welcome to the Department of Radiation Oncology, a center of excellence in cancer treatment, education, and research. We combine state-of-the art cancer therapy with compassionate care for our patients and ensure that every patient has access to the most advanced cancer treatment options.
The Department of Radiation Oncology presently has nine faculty members actively involved in patient care, offering expertise in utilizing radiation therapy for the treatment of cancer. The Department of Radiation Oncology at UTMB Health offers Image Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT), Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Stereotactic Body Radiation (SBRT), and Brachytherapy. Our cancer treatment options reflect the hospital’s commitment to medical excellence and our department is comprised of a skilled team of clinicians who provide a multi-disciplinary approach with medical oncology, surgery, neurosurgery, pathology, and radiology.
Our clinics are located on the main campus at UTMB on the 1st floor of the McCullough Building, at the Victory Lakes campus on the second floor, and our remote location at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in downtown Houston.
