UTMB to honor breast cancer survivors on Oct. 19 with events in Galveston, Clear Lake and League City
The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health) will honor breast cancer survivors for National Breast Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) Day on Wednesday, October 19th with events at our Galveston, Clear Lake and League City Campuses.
Schedule of events for the day:
- 7:30 – 8:30 a.m.: Breakfast
and breast health information will be shared with the public in the UTMB Health Jennie Sealy Hospital on the Galveston Campus
- Noon – 1 p.m.: Lunch
and breast health information will be shared with the public in the lobby of the UTMB Health Clear Lake Hospital
- 5 – 7 p.m.: A bra
decorating competition, vendor fair, patient testimonials, breast health myth-busting sessions and more will be part of this fun-filled evening in the Sky Bridge of the League City Hospital Campus
These festivities are made possible by The Plastic Surgery Foundation and members of the UTMB Plastic Surgery care team that specializes in breast cancer prevention, screening, treatment, and plastic surgery options.
