UTMB Health Administrative Fellowship Program

At the University of Texas Medical Branch Health System (UTMB Health), we are committed to ensuring the Health System Administrative Fellow gains exposure to the operations of a multifaceted health system and develops a thorough understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities facing academic medical centers.

Since 1991, the UTMB Health Administrative Fellowship Program has provided recent graduates from an accredited MHA program or similar degree plan the opportunity to begin a successful career in healthcare administration.

The Fellow will utilize knowledge gained in the classroom to real-world situations, explore hospital operations through the completion of a wide range of projects, engage in optional rotations throughout UTMB Health, and participate in high-level management activities with the Health System's Executive team. The Fellow receives mentorship from the Vice President of Health System Optimization and Performance.
