The UTMB Data Management and Analysis Core (DMAC) for Comparative Effectiveness Research (CER) on Cancer in Texas, funded by the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas, invites Texas academic and research investigators to submit collaborative project proposals focused on comparative effectiveness research in cancer. Proposals covering screening, diagnosis, treatment, post-treatment surveillance, or survivorship are encouraged.
The collaborative project aims to support CER investigators in conducting cancer-related comparative effectiveness research, disseminating study findings, and developing future funding applications. Proposed projects should be feasible using DMAC’s available data resources, which investigators can review on the DMAC website Data - Data Management and Analysis Core - UTMB . Two projects will be selected to receive DMAC data access and analytical support.
Interested investigators should submit a one-page Letter of Intent (LOI) describing their research plan, along with a Biosketch or CV, to Samuel David at savdavid@utmb.edu by October 23, 2026. Applicants will be notified of the selection results by the end of October.
