The Hispanic Center of Excellence works diligently to form alliances and partnerships to support and expand our outreach and opportunities for students and faculty.
The Hispanic-Serving Health Professions Schoolsprovides opportunities (internships, fellowships, and workshops) and resources for students and faculty interested in Hispanic Health and Hispanic Health Research. Dr. Norma A. Perez is the President of the Board of Directors and always delighted to speak with any individual interested in the opportunities offered.

Frontera de Salud is an interdisciplinary student run organization
focused on service to underserved communities in Texas. This includes
mission trips to Brownsville, Texas, Senior Care in Galveston, Texas,
and health fairs held in Galveston.
Centers of Excellence ConsortiumThe
Centers of Excellence Consortium consists of six Centers of Excellence
committed to pooling resources and expertise to support an annual
faculty development conference open to all faculty from participating
institutions.
The Latin Medical Student Association is a national student-run organizations with a large, active local chapter on campus.

The National Hispanic Medical Association
Established in 1994 in Washington, DC, the National Hispanic Medical
Association is a non-profit association representing the interests of
50,000 licensed Hispanic physicians in the United States.
