UTMB is accepting applications for our Certified Nursing Assistant Apprenticeship Program.
The program’s next cohort begins Monday, June 8, and offers a direct pathway into health care through full-time employment and hands-on learning—at no cost to you.
Program Benefits
- Full-time employment and benefits as a Hospital Aide
- Minimum starting wage of $15/hour, with progressive pay increases during the first year
- Paid on-the-job training and classroom instruction approved by Texas Health and Human Services
- Ongoing mentorship from clinical instructors and experienced Patient Care Technicians dedicated to your success
- Promotion to Patient Care Technician and eligibility to take the CNA certification exam upon completion of the program
Program participants must be:
- Age 18 or older
- Able to meet the physical requirements of the job, including standing for long periods and lifting more than 50 pounds
