  • Who can participate in the survey?

All benefits-eligible employees hired on or before Nov. 9, 2025, are invited to participate in the survey.

  • Am I required to complete the survey?

No. Participation in the survey is voluntary. However, the more employees who choose to participate, the better UTMB can understand and address workplace needs and concerns.

  • Is the survey confidential?

Yes. The survey is confidential. Press Ganey securely collects and analyzes all survey responses. Results are reported in aggregate form only at the entity, department, and division levels. No one at UTMB will see your completed survey.

To further protect confidentiality, a minimum of five responses is required for a work group to receive results. If fewer than five responses are received, results are combined with larger groups. Typed responses to the optional open-ended questions are reported exactly as written but are not linked to an individual.

For most employees, the survey consists of:

    • 18 workforce engagement items

The questions use a five-point agreement scale ranging from Strongly Agree to Strongly Disagree, with Neutral indicating that you neither agree nor disagree. If a question does not apply to your role, you may select Not Applicable.

The survey also includes two optional open-ended questions that allow you to share comments and feedback in your own words.

  • Can I provide comments or specific examples in the survey?

Yes. You may provide comments in the optional open-ended questions. These questions are structured around specific prompts and allow you to share feedback in your own words.

Please note that the format does not allow employees to directly reference or elaborate on the ratings provided for individual questions.
