A large crowd from the Angleton Danbury community and UTMB enjoyed a reception Aug. 26 at the UTMB Health Angleton Danbury Campus to officially unveil the new name of the hospital. Melba Beken, Chairman of the Angleton-Danbury Medical Center Board of Trustees, recognized several auxiliary members in attendance, including several charter auxiliary members who were responsible for the creation of the hospital 45 years ago.
Executive Vice President and CEO of UTMB Health Donna Sollenberger and UTMB President Dr. David Callender also spoke at the celebration, welcoming Angleton Danbury staff and physicians to UTMB Health, and pledging to earn the trust of the community and focus on the needs of patients in the area.
