National Medical Librarians Month is the ideal time to meet the librarians at UTMB. The four Reference Librarians serve as liaisons to establish close working relationships with faculty and staff and provide trustworthy and curated information to support your research, patient care, and teaching.
Meet Tara Atkins, MLIS:
Tara joined Moody Medical Library over 20 years ago. She earned her Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS) from the University of North Texas. She holds a certificate in Systematic Review Services Specialization from the Medical Library Association.
Tara is here to help navigate the evolving landscape of medical literature. She loves building relationships with the faculty and staff in her liaison departments and providing tailored support for their information needs.
