The Office of Institutional Effectiveness (OIE) supports academic program leadership to ensure compliance with applicable accrediting standards, rules, regulations, and policies during the development of new academic programs and substantial changes to existing programs.
OIE serves as a consultant and process expert regarding the notification and/or approval of programmatic changes through:
- Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)
- Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board (THECB)
- University of Texas System (UT)
Due to the varied and complex nature of these processes, it is recommended that program leadership consult OIE approximately two years prior to the planned implementation date.
