Community Engagement is a process by which UTMB Health works directly with the public to build relationships and improve the health of the communities we serve. “Community” can be defined as special interest groups, geographic locations, or local and regional partners. Engaging with the community to educate and advocate for good health can have significant impact on the well-being of populations and individuals. Community Engagement strategies include a variety of educational and health information activities and events like health fairs, special events, online education, lectures, and sponsorship of community events.
