We have completed our search for the next APP Director role and are pleased to share that Laura Ellender, MSN, RN, CEN, FNP-C, has been selected to serve as the next APP Director, effective September 1, 2023.
Laura is a nurse practitioner at the UTMB Pediatric and Adult Primary Care South Shore Clinic in League City. She graduated with her bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in nutrition, and earned a master’s degree in nursing from UTMB. Laura was the prior APP Executive Committee Chair from 2021-2023 and now holds the Past-Chair position. Additionally, she received the Excellence in Leadership Award during APP Week in 2022.
She is a BOI and native Galvestonian, although she currently lives in League City with her husband and three children. She loves being with her family, reading, and staying active, and is an avid college football fan.
We are excited to announce her as our new APP Director and look forward to what she will bring to this position.
